Manage, upgrade, or cancel your subscription

Everything about your subscription — the card, the plan, cancellation — lives in one place: the Stripe customer portal, reached from inside the app.

Open the billing portal

  1. Open Settings → Subscription. The card at the top shows your current plan, its status, and your account limit.
  2. Click Manage billing. The button is disabled until you have a subscription — its tooltip says "Available once you have a subscription".
  3. You land in the Stripe customer portal. From there you can update your card, switch plan, or cancel.

Next to it, View plans opens the tier comparison — Starter, Pro, and Scale side by side — if you want to check what an upgrade covers before switching. The caps are explained in plans and account limits.

Why there is no in-app cancel button

Deliberate. The portal is the one place billing changes happen, so your billing state in the app always matches what Stripe actually has on file. A second cancel path inside the app would be a second thing that can drift, and a billing screen that disagrees with your bank is worse than one extra click.

Switching plans

Upgrades and downgrades both happen in the portal. Two things worth knowing:

  • A downgrade never deletes anything. Your groups, rules, and accounts stay exactly as they are. The smaller cap applies to your next copy-rules save — if that save uses more accounts than the new plan covers, it is blocked with an upgrade message until the setup fits.
  • An upgrade raises the cap for your next save. There is no migration step; save your bigger setup and go.

Cancelling and refunds

Cancel in the portal. Your plan runs to the end of the period you already paid for, and nothing in your account is deleted — connections, copy rules, and journal data all stay.

Refunds are governed by the Refund Policy, which you accepted at checkout. Read it there rather than relying on a summary here; the policy page is the binding version.

Quick answers

Where do I cancel?

Settings → Subscription → Manage billing, then cancel inside the Stripe portal. There is no separate in-app cancel button, on purpose.

Will cancelling or downgrading delete my copy setup?

No. Nothing is deleted. A downgrade only blocks a future save that exceeds the new cap.

Where do I update an expiring card?

Same portal: Settings → Subscription → Manage billing → update the payment method.
