Connect a Rithmic account

Steps

1. Open Accounts and click Add connection. The Rithmic tile under Broker is already selected.
2. Name the connection, up to 32 characters, something like "My Apex eval".
3. Choose your System. The dropdown starts on "Choose your system", so nothing is picked for you. It is pulled live from Rithmic when the form opens. If the live list cannot load, the form says "Showing the standard list" and falls back to known systems: Rithmic Test, TopstepTrader, Apex, LucidTrading, MES Capital, TradeFundrr, UProfitTrader, Leeloo Trading, and Rithmic's own production systems (Rithmic 01, Rithmic 04 Colo and Rithmic Paper Trading), all selectable. 4. Enter your Username and Password. Both are case-sensitive. There is no gateway field: every connection uses Rithmic's Chicago Area route, so there is nothing to choose and nothing to get wrong.
5. Press Test. A working login answers "Connected. N accounts found:" followed by your account ids. A failure answers "Could not connect:" with the reason.
6. Click Save connection. A saved connection is enabled and signs in once to look up its accounts, so they show in Copy Rules without another click. Rithmic allows one session per login: if this login is open in R|Trader or your firm's platform right now, switch off Find accounts after saving first and press Test later.

If Test fails

"Could not connect" on a Rithmic login almost always comes down to one of these:

• Unsigned market-data agreements. A fresh Rithmic login cannot connect until its market-data agreements are signed. Log into R|Trader once with the same credentials, sign the agreements there, then Test again.
• Case-sensitive credentials. Rithmic usernames and passwords are case-sensitive. If a paste keeps failing, retype them.
• Whitespace pasted with the username. Copying from a welcome e-mail often drags a trailing space along. Delete and retype the last character if in doubt.
• The login is in use somewhere else. Rithmic allows one session per login, and signing in from a second place forces the first out. Close R|Trader or your firm's platform before you Test with the same credentials. This cuts both ways: while the copier is running on a login, Test refuses to probe it (the test's own session would force the copier's out), and signing in elsewhere mid-session makes the copier stop with a "signed in somewhere else" reason. • Your firm has not permitted MirrorFill yet. Prop firms and brokers choose which applications their traders may connect with. If the credentials are definitely right and the login still fails, try the same credentials on the same system in RTraderPro Desktop: if that works, ask your firm's support to permit MirrorFill for your user id.
• The login is a demo trial. Rithmic's production interface requires a paid market data subscription, so a free trial login cannot connect. Funded and evaluation prop-firm accounts are fine; it is the no-subscription trial that is refused.
